    Ricardo Customer Service – Non-existent, September 6, 2014

    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I ordered this from Amazon, shipped May 27, 2014, due to previous experience with Ricardo luggage. What a mistake! One of the dual wheels came off after a recent flight, leaving one wheel on that corner (discovered when I reached home. It was past the two month Amazon return policy, so I went to Ricardo’s website the weekend of August 23rd and sent an email requesting instructions on how to get this repaired. No response the following week, so I called Ricardo’s customer service on Friday August 29th (it went straight to voice mail) and left a message. Still no response as of Saturday September 6th. Additionally, the clip for securing the clothes strap in the zip-up compartment is now hanging on by a few threads. My next step is to take to one of their retailers that accept luggage for repair and see if I can get this piece of junk replaced.

Durable and red case easy to spot on airport luggage carousel, February 22, 2015

    LA_Sinatra (Los Angeles, CA) –

I purchased this in the black cherry color in September. I have had it on a international trip with multiple airline boardings and train boardings with no problems whatsoever. I have also used it on multiple local trips. The case has held up fine, its attractive and easy to spot at the luggage pickup area. It does get some fine scratches in the hard cover but not noticeable unless looking closely. The wheels are great, as they rotate and spin, makes moving this suitcase a breeze. Even though it is a hard case, the luggage is still light enough for me to pick up and move, and I am a petite woman.
The inside has a zipper, so the top half of the suitcase is zipped. I used the top half for my shoe bags, purses, toiletry bag, and items I purchased while traveling. There is also a addl. flat zipped compartment on the outside of the top zipped half for items such as socks and lingerie, convenient for keeping small things sorted.
The bottom half I kept my clothing I wanted easiest access to on a daily basis, mainly my pants and tops.
There is an expandable option on the outside of the case that you can unzip so give your suitcase an addl. 2-3 inches of storage width, which I did end up using. Only caution on using that, is if you are using your hard case to transport breakables, once you expand it, the hard case can no longer protect them as well, as the using the expandable part means the case can be crushed so a bit under heavier luggage and could crush breakables. I learned this the hard way when bringing back some glass ornaments, only 1 of the 4 survived. Had I not used the expansion option, I believe they all would have survived.
