I am torn with this review because the customer service was AMAZING! If I were basing this purely off of the wonderful service I received, they would get 5 stars easily. However, the product itself is not quite what was described. As another reviewer pointed out, there are numerous punch holes in the product for Im guessing ventilation(?), but then the item should not be listed as a way of keeping out bugs or allergens, as those numerous holes can easily allow any number of creepy crawlys, allergens, or water to get into your expensive mattress. I bought these for moving and storing, so they work for the moving part, and my unit is climate controlled, but for anyone who would have to store in a less than perfect storage unit, your mattress may not be so safe. (I needed to move immediately, which is why I didn’t have have the option of sending the item back). The bag fits very nicely with the thickness of the mattress and box spring, but the holes are a problem. Its unfortunate their product isn’t as amazing as their service. If you are just looking for a bag to safely move your mattress or box spring, this is definitely a good choice for a bag. If you are looking for a bag to store against bugs, water, or odors, the numerous ventilation holes in this bag may cause issues.

Doesn’t Get Any Better Than This!, May 25, 2014

We needed to store several mattresses of different sizes in a musty basement storage room. We tried several protective covers on the market, and this one is superior in all respects: user-friendly, good quality material, closure is tight. Shipping and service were outstanding. Thank you!

See that pretty packaging in the picture? It clearly says that this can be used to protect against bedbugs. Well… a BUNCH OF LIES! – unless you’re willing to fastidiously seal up every single pre-punched hole that this bag comes with, this would not provide the protection they claim. I’m surprised the other reviewers didn’t mention this (or maybe they didn’t notice?)

Anyway, I was in the middle of putting it on my mattress when suddenly I felt a slight whiff of air hitting my arm. It turned out to be displaced air that was coming through one of these little holes that occur at regular intervals up and down the side of the bag. My assumption is that the holes exist so the bag doesn’t balloon up when big items are placed in them. They are about the size of those holes you make with an office paper hole-puncher. So, why claim that this can be used to protect against bugs? Just stick to selling this as an eco-friendly moving supply accessory, otherwise it’s false advertising just to exploit the bedbug market.

Long story short, it was useless and I had to return it. I got a refund but only for the cost of the item, minus the shipping and handling. AND on top of that, I had to pay to ship the item back to them. The fact that they would make an unsatisfied customer incur those costs tells me that this a lousy company that doesn’t value customer service and doesn’t stand 100% behind their product.

If you’re looking to buy something for moving your mattress, buy one of those Banana Bags instead- they’re cheaper and of the same quality and don’t have holes that would expose your mattress to grime and bugs and whatever else it would encounter during transportation. If you’re thinking of sealing up your mattress on the bed, be aware that even if you don’t mind the holes, this bag doesn’t have any zipper – you’re supposed to fold the end over and seal it with your own tape. Might as well just wrap your mattress up with one of those tarps you buy at the paint shop, and buy some duct tape while you’re at it. The only reason I could see anyone purchasing this is if they buy into this seller’s “eco” claims. To sum it up: there are way better products out there, skip this one and skip this seller.
