I have had this back for five months and the I had to get the one of the shoulder straps done because the seam was giving away. The inside lining giving away and this one cannot be sewed back since it would need to re sew all the inside of the backpack.

    I carry a D90, a Nikkor 35mm, a Tamron 17-50mm, a Tamron 70-300 and a SB700 speedlight I thought this bag would be enough for this but it seems that it isn’t.

I bought this because it looked like it was the same as the Tamrac version, but alas….it was not! form factor wise it is very similar, but build quality it not quite there….then again, it costs 1/3 of the Tamrac so I guess is comes with the old saying…”you get what you pay for”.

The bag is big….maybe too big for everyday use, but I like the capability to carry my gear. I do like that one can configure the sections in many ways…I have done so about 3 or 4 times since I got a few weeks ago. The entire bottom, back, and top are velcro, it really allows you to configure to your specific needs. I added 2 compartment dividers that I had from other bags and really customized for my needs….everything has a spot and fits tightly.

My biggest gripe #1 though has to do with the flimsiness of the dividers….they leave some gaps from the bottom, and they are not reinforced so they tend to lag under pressure….hence the reason I added two of my own.

Some people have complained that the strap cannot handle weight, but I took it on a day trip with laptop, a top compartment filled with snacks and and extra long sleeve tshirt, plus myy camera gear (Canon t4i + 18-55 kit lens, 55-200 zoom, Goitos air bulb – large), and a few other things and the bag held up nicely.

My Biggest Gripe #2 has to do with the “breathability” of the back pads….they don’t!

For the price, this is a great gear bag….
