Well, I thought I loved this, when it first arrived. Then I tried to put it on crossbody and the strap is just too ridiculously short. It works in emergencies – when I need both hands to pick up items at the store, for example – but as a fashion statement it looks quite silly. Then, too, the bag – which is not really overfull – pulls weirdly on the skinny long strap, and it makes the bag sort of buckle out of proportion. Unfortunately I’ve used this for about a week, so I can’t return it, but I’m on the hunt for another plum or berry-colored leather bag with both crossbody and short handles.
Edit: After months of searching and not finding a bag that made me as happy as this one did, I decided to buy the black (which I got from Amazon, and bonus, half off what I paid for the plum one) and then sourced a replacement adjustable long strap elsewhere. I am now very happy with this bag! Upgraded to 4 stars. It would go to 5 if they had simply made it a 46-50″ adjustable strap to start with.

There are hits and misses on this purse.
HIT: The fact that the short handles fold down helps when you need to access your things. It’s deep enough to hold many items.
MISSES: The shoulder strap is short where you cannot do a cross body. Also, the skinny strap needs a shoulder pad if you decide to put a lot things in this purse because after a while it digs into your shoulder.
Overall, very nice dressy purse, but not for everyday use. Well made.

This is such a CUTE purse! I’ve already received several compliments. I thought it would be a problem not having any inner “sections” but it’s really not. The strap is very short but I’m 4’10” so it works perfect for me. The leather is good quality and for the discounted price on amazon you really can’t get much better!
