I like this kind of camera case allows you to keep the camera protected while being able to remove the lens cover quickly to take a shot, without any need to hold anything other than the camera

I really like this case. I was looking for something in this style, as I loved the leather case on my mom’s Olympus OM-1 from the 70’s.
The leather feels like it is of good quality, and while I don’t know much about leather, a leather artist at an art show told me it looked like it was well done and should patina.
The case feels like it does a good job of protecting the camera – it is thick and sturdy, and soft on the inside. At the same time, it does not take long to flip it open to take a photo.
The only drawbacks I find with using it are that you must unscrew the bottom portion from the camera in order to access the battery and memory card, and it is slightly unwieldly when holding the camera at a right angle. On the other hand, with a large memory card you won’t have to access it too often, and if you need to take a lot of portrait shots you can unsnap the whole upper portion of the case, which is much faster than unscrewing the bottom portion.
I don’t have a large number of lenses to test fit, but with the kit 18-55mm lens you can close the cover even when the lens is extended to its longest length. It won’t be able to fit anything larger than that (my 70-300mm tamron is right out).
Overall I love the case and am very happy with my purchase.

Great quality, especially for the price. I didn’t want a generic black bag for my canon sl1 and came across this. Small enough too carry around but still protects. Highly recommend
