    Verified Purchase(What’s this?)
I decided not to write a review until after my international trip (including multiple airplane flights, train rides, trolley excursions and bus trips). I wanted to make sure that this would hold up. It looked sturdy enough and the reviews on this website were good, but I wanted to be sure. I have bought stuff before on Amazon where there have been glowing reviews but since there were so few of them, it was hard to tell if it was a real review or not.

The Samsonite S Cure is amazing! It is pretty expensive compared to regular luggage but you are paying for a polycarbonate shell with no zipper. There are no external fabric parts! This is great because then you don’t have to worry about microbes or moisture latching on to the surface of your luggage. If you are a germ phobe, this is a god-send. After my 2 week long international travel, where I dragged this suitcase through multiple cities *including some with stinky sewage in the streets*, this suitcase survived with only a few scuff marks, easily wash away able. I just used disinfecting cleansing wipes to wipe the surfaces and wheels.

The Samsonite S Cure Spinner 28 is large size. It is one-size, which meant nothing to me. But basically, if you want an idea of what it is like I highly recommend you get a measuring tape out and check the dimensions. It is huge. It was able to carry for me 2 weeks worth of clothing and all the gifts I wanted to bring back. I stuffed this suitcase to the brim and it still had no problems staying shut. The suitcase has great hinges. It also has 3 manual locks on it. You can be sure that if you can fit your stuff in this suitcase and the suitcase will close, your belongings are secure. The closures are very intuitive despite being unlike any other suitcase I have ever seen.

Picking this suitcase out from baggage claim was super easy. This stood out right away. Also, I loved that it came with a sticker that said made in Europe. I like it when companies don’t simply outsource to China because it is cheaper. Even though I am of Chinese ethnicity, I find a lot of Chinese products cost-cut in dangerous ways, especially for those that involve plastics manufacture.

This product is worth the $230 after tax I paid for it. Right now, the black one is on sale for $180!!! Ah, I wish I had gotten it for $180. But none the less, I will keep my 5 star review because I love how this product survived my horrid travel.

I got this fantastic luggage late Oct 2014. It had to be this or another brand I trust – Delsey.
I went to several trips around the globe with this very sturdy luggage from Nov to 1st week of Dec, Jan 2015, Feb, March & May. This beautiful luggage have been thru so much handling in 26 different airports: South America, Southern Africa, Middle East, the Mediterranean, England, Asia & the 3 countries of North America. And twice it exceeded the airline weight limit. It has gone thru cruel cobbled stones streets too. The lock system is great. Zippered compartment inside is a lot of help. The wheels are are very smooth to manouevre & I simply push it. So the top handle were minimally used during these trips. The whole concept of travel were thoughtfully designed in this luggage.

This luggage is really a great buy. It stays beautiful & sturdy. Check out the photos I attached taken today, 11 June 2015.

I researched luggage options before purchasing. In fact, I called a local Samsonite dealer who suggested that I purchase this particular piece online, as it had not yet arrived in the store. I was specifically looking for a check-in piece with clips (no zippers). In addition, it was described as having a built in TSA lock, which is great. When the product arrived, it was just as I expected – no surprises. This product is made in Europe, not in China – which was an added plus. It appears to be strong, yet light. Nothing bad to say.
