In support of the other reviewers who mentioned the size of this beast, they are correct. Samsung was not lying when it lists 15″W x 20″L One co-worker of mine nicknamed this behemoth “the bodybag”. That being said, I bought it specifically for the absurd amount of space. My profession often requires me to have on-hand several different kinds of brochures, forms, applications, and client files. When carrying sensitive or personally identifying information, it’s always good to have an extra layer of security – which the dual 3-number rolling combination locks provide.

The case is ugly as sin and the side pockets are shaped in such a way that it makes them difficult for practical use. Best uses I’ve found are for letters and random knickknacks like a glasses cleaning kit or just whatever. There are only two large dividers on the interior so you will have to purchase an accordion-style divider to place inside separately. On one extended business trip I was able to bring roundabouts 10 client files, all my forms and disclosures, an Epson Portable Printer, power supply, usb cable, and HP 12CP calculator. All in the case probably weighed 15-20 lbs but could have handled more if needed.

The handle is a bit uncomfortable at higher weights because it is molded from a hard plastic but even with the case fully loaded it has never felt as if it was on the verge of breaking. The case is 100% vinyl but feels solid. Usually it rides around in the trunk of my car as the bottomless pit of forms I need it to be and has performed without issue since March of 2015 when I initially purchased it. Although a bit of an investment, I would definitely purchase this case again and recommend to anyone needing a large case for a professional work environment.

A trusted luggage brand name, making large-capacity briefcases at a bargain price, June 23, 2016

My attorney spouse needs something this big for lugging court files around with him. Similar in size to his previous briefcases. Not quite as many metal reinforcements as some he’s had in the past — but with metal detectors at every courthouse, less metal is probably a good thing. Not a rolling briefcase, if that’s important to you (it isn’t to my spouse — but it might be an issue for a petite female attorney who has to lug just as many heavy court files around as her male colleagues). Substantially less expensive than similar “catalog case” briefcases sold by office supply chains — so if it lasts half as long as an expensive briefcase but only cost 1/3 the price of the fancy one, you’re still ahead! And Samsonite has been a trusted brand name for luggage ever since my parents’ time (and no, I’m not telling how long ago that was!), so I’m more willing to take a chance on something made by them than I would be on a brand I’d never heard of before.
