I had officially destroyed my last set of luggage over the past few years, so I got this set for my birthday, and I couldn’t be more pleased with it. I got the black and lime, and the color really pops in a way that’s not tacky. The smallest one is approved for carry-on, while the largest is perfect for a long road trip. I tested out the medium-sized one this past weekend on a trip to Pigeon Forge, and it was wonderful – it rolls so easily and makes carrying your stuff back and forth less of a struggle. The pockets on the front are useful to keep smaller items separate, as well. I am 100% happy with these and highly recommend them.

    Awesome set of luggage!

I bought this set for a weeklong trip to Disneyworld. They have a very vibrant inner lining, which I actually prefer to the black lining of most luggage, because I can see all the contents better, and I can check for bedbugs easier as well. I only love that feature because we’ve already been through that $2500 nightmare once from bedbug invasion resulting from a hotel stay, and I do not plan to repeat it. Some complained that the inner lining seems cheap and likely to rip but I totally disagree and believe it to be plenty durable. The outer piping is also vibrant and makes it super easy to pick out at baggage claim. The handles are sturdy, and the zippers are durable.
Some reviewers had trouble with the wheels not rolling well when the luggage is full and heavy; I did not find this issue at all. We flew back with the large one at 48 lbs, and it could still glide easily on carpet, tile, and asphalt. They moved easily whether pulled behind or pushed alongside on all four wheels. Great maneuverability, which is a major plus when traveling with young kids. The smallest size pictured here easily meets carry-on rules. Some have also complained that the inner pockets were not mesh like in most luggage. Again, I actually liked this, since it gave a bit of privacy to what was stowed in them (surprise gifts for my kids went unseen until I brought them out).

All in all, a great set for those not willing to fork over $500-$1000 for a set of luggage. It held up perfectly during our trip and I look forward to using it again. I used my last set of Columbia luggage (now discontinued) for more than ten years and numerous moves/trips with the military and although some zipper pulls have broken off, the pieces themselves still work just fine. I only replaced them because we gave those to a family member in need and I wanted to spoil myself with some of those snazzy new wheels! I’ll update if these fail me miserably somehow in the future.
