This review is from: MegaGear “Vertical” Protective Black Leather Camera Case , Bag for Sony DSC-RX100M II Cyber-shot Digital Still, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100M III, Camera RX100 II, Canon PowerShot S120, Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 (Electronics)
This is a nice little case that fits my Sony DSC-RX100 V snuggly. This is the newest model of this line and isn’t listed, but it does fit. There’s no wiggle room in the direction between the back of the camera and the lens. I’ve had to pull the section above the snap out just to get the camera in while it was new. There is a little space along the narrow edge of the camera. It’s big enough to store an extra battery or two and a small microfiber cloth.

The leather feels like it gives good protection with fairly rigid sides. The interior has a velvet lining so that the camera isn’t scratched by the case. There is a loop on the back for attaching to a belt or strap. The sides have small metal D rings for attaching a neck/shoulder strap. The included pleather strap has clips on the end that do not feel substantial enough for me to trust my camera to their durability. They might hold up, but I wouldn’t trust them.

Overall, it is a decent little case that should provide a moderate amount of protection.

Best case, out of a lot of options out there, for carrying your Sony DSC-RX100M II Cybershot camera, December 4, 2013

After looking at dozens of camera case options for the small and expensive Sony DSC-RX100M II CyberShot camera, I found exactly what I wanted with the MegaGear Vertical Case. The camera fits like a glove into the case, not too tight requiring you to force the camera into it, nor too loose to allow the camera to jiggle around inside the case. The case fits neatly on a belt, and allows you to safely carry the camera on a walk, as I use the case, to keep it by my side at all times. It looks great, as if it cost much more than it actually does. The light brown case is particularly a nice color, a little bit old-school in a good way, befitting the expensive camera. The case latches closed with a magnet and does so easily, without any fumbling. I call it a holster on occasion. Unlike soft cases, the more rigid MegaGear case provides some serious protection with a rigid construction, which is one of the most important aspects to me. At the same time, the case is lined with a soft fabric that treats your camera gently.
