I’m glad I took a chance on this product even though there were zero reviews or ratings on it. It’s exactly what I wanted–a bag just for the camera, with the lens and strap attached, and small pockets sufficient for basic accessories such as the charger, cord, and remote trigger. Like many people, I just want to carry my camera and a few accessories; I don’t need a bag to carry additional lenses, a cleaning kit, and personal items such as a cell phone, keys, and a wallet.

As for bulk, the photo of the model with the bag over his shoulder is deceptive. It’s not at all a large bag–rather a particularly petit person modeling it. And yet there is plenty of room inside for my Canon EOS Rebel T4i 18.0 MP CMOS Digital Camera with 18-135mm EF-S IS STM Lens, lens attached, the strap, and I could add a lens hood without having to remove it or turn it around if I wanted to. This not only allows me to have my camera completely at the ready, but I can fit my hand around to take it by the grip rather than turning the bag over and dumping it into my palm or pulling it out by the strap.

Also, the interior of the bag I received is black, not red. I’m happy with this because I really didn’t want the red lining, but don’t be surprised if yours comes with a black instead of red lining as well.

There are two small pockets inside the top which easily fit spare SD cards as well my Canon RC-6 Wireless Remote Controller for Canon XT/XTi, XSi, T1i and T2i Digital SLR Cameras remote trigger–so I don’t have to attach it to the strap as the instructions it comes with suggest. And the front pocket is big enough for my charger and cord.

As an outdoor athlete, zippers are very important to me. I should be able to open any zipper with one hand. These pass the test. No wrestling required.

The case is exceptionally light compared not only to any similar camera bag I’ve ever had, but to my various sports bags for outdoor activities as well, and yet the padding is more than sufficient to protect the camera even when stuffed into a carry on or camping backpack along with miscellaneous other items. That’s important to me because I like to have my camera with me every day, in whatever bag I might be carrying, without it taking too much space or being too thinly padded to protect the camera I spent so much money for.

The handle on the top is generously large and soft expecially considering it only has to hold little more than the weight of the camera and lens.

Only one CON: The shoulder strap it comes with isn’t so hot, and again the small size of the person modelling it gives you the impression not only that the bag is much larger than it is but that the strap is much longer. They must have used a thirteen year old. I’m only 5’9″ and with the strap extended as far as it will go the bag sits above my waist, just below my ribs. The quality of the strap also isn’t nearly as good as the quality of the bag. Still, not really a problem since it’s not stitched on; I will eventually replace it with a nicer luggage strap.

Bottom Line: Looks good, light, just enough room it the pockets, generously padded, and no dorky external pockets or closures like on similar bags branded by Canon and Tamrac. Perfect for someone who wants to take their camera everywhere without feeling like they’re carrying luggage.

I purchased a new Canon T4i recently, and ordered this bag to carry it. It is very light but extremely supportive with nice fitting inside, and also at the bottom for the objective. You can feel the protect is strong enough for regular usage, and it is particularly nice to have Canon on the surface, which matches the camera. The should belt is strong, and it is nice you can attach to your belt. On the both side, you can also insert 2 filters each or some memory cards. Of course, it is not too big to carry other pieces, such as battery charges, a second objective. However, this is one of the best bags for EOS camera. I would like strongly to recommend it. Enjoy!
