I was searching for a camera bag and found a lot to choose from, but almost all of them had too much going on, in terms of design, and were way too bulky. I wanted a bag that was sleek and most of all one that won’t draw attention. That’s where this Filemate backpack comes in.

Some might argue that there isn’t enough padding and that may be true, but I find it adequate. I have my Canon 5D Mark II with Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 lens, Canon 28-70mm f/2.8L, Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L, Contax RTS II (I’ll swap this out for my Canon 50D at times), Canon 580ex, and Contax TLA280 flash stashed inside the bag and have not had any issues. I am mindful of my bag and its content and my surroundings. I don’t carelessly bump into things with my bag to warrant the need for extra padding.

The dividers are secured via velcro and they hold on really well. There’s an inner pocket system consisting of 3 pockets: 2 small and 1 large. It also has an outer pocket with a small inner pocket inside. There are straps to secure on a tripod, too. It looks like it can support a lightweight one. I have a Manfrotto tripod that comes with it’s own bag so I don’t really have a use for the straps. (Maybe I could secure on my water bottle? Looks like it’ll fit.)

It’s a great all-around bag. I am really pleased with this purchase and product!

This backpack had my equipment in it and was in the back of my 1924 model t. While driving around a corner, the back door flew open and the backpack fell out! Imagine my horror when I had to turn around and get it with my heart beating at the damage done to my camera. I safely turned around and opened it. Everything inside was perfect. I have some scuffs on the bag itself but, the camera was safe! I was even more relieved when my sister had loaned me a lens that was in there and I really didn’t want to replace that too.
