    I’ve tried many different brands of dog waste bags and Earth Rated have been my favorite for several reasons.
    * Strong enough to resist ripping, but still made with earth-friendly (ish) material.
    – The most super-earth-friendly bags rip very easily — Ex: when pulling a bag off the roll or putting your hand inside the bag.
    – I’ve had one too many, um, messy incidents with other brands.
    * Good size
    – Most of the other bags I’ve used came in a smaller size, which didn’t give me the safety margin I enjoy with Earth Rated bags.
    – Owners with medium to large dogs will be happier with these bags.
    * Easy to open
    – I find these bags substantially easier to open than thinner bags or those made with other grades of plastic.
    * Smell nice
    – The lavender scent is a nice extra

    These doggie bags are great. We are on our second box now.
    Pros:
    -Very thick and not see through!
    -Extra large bag (large dog)
    -Extra room to tie the bag if you aren’t running to the trash can at that moment or want to hang from the leash.
    -They come in regular or lavender. I’ve tried both. The lavender scent isn’t overwhelming and doesn’t leave a scent on my hands after touching the bag.
    -The 300 count roll is nice to keep inside your home to grab one on the way out.
    -My dog also has the earth rated smaller roll attached to his leash for when we go out.
    -This roll of 300 lasts a long time and is priced well.
    Cons:
    -We are on our second box of 300 count doggie bags now, and it’s almost time to order more. There has been 3-4 bags that didn’t get sealed on the bottom and I could stick my arm all the way through. Out of all the bags that’s all I have found that I didn’t like and that’s why I rated 4 stars.

    in my household, we’ve found that these work fantastically well for cleaning out multiple catboxes on a daily basis (we have five cats who get along well enough to share three catboxes). the lavender scent, while not being crazy strong or cloying, make the task *much* less unpleasant for me, which in turn makes me a better cat owner, IMO. I’m sure they’re great for carrying around for dog walks, too, but I love them for daily (or more often, if needed) catbox cleaning, in between the weekly deep cleaning/litter replacement). very pleased with this product!
