This review is from: Drive Logic Hard Carrying Case for 15 Inch MacBook Pro Retina Display Laptop (Wireless Phone Accessory)
This carry-case is exceptionally well-designed to compliment the slender profile of the Retina Display MacBook. The shell is reasonably-rigid, molded plastic with a waffle-pattern foam liner under the computer. The laptop is held in place by a wide, elastic strap that is reassuringly strong. The sides of the molded case curve up to protect the edges of the computer.

The top of the case has three internal pockets (one full-width, 2 half-width) large enough to carry papers or other needed items. I use the big pocked to store a USB Superdrive when it’s not in use; the closed case easily accommodates both it and the computer without bulging.

There is a larger, outside pocket on the top half of the case… made of a strong & stretchy knit of some sort, it easily swallows any bulky items you might need to carry with you, like the detachable carry-strap. The zip closure is plenty strong enough to keep the case securely closed under any reasonable circumstances.

The price is very reasonably, the construction quality is very high and the design and appearance simple, straightforward and business-like. An extraordinary value and well worth buying to protect your MacBook.

This case is exactly what I was hoping for: a compact, protective case with slim, yet durable handle. “Hard Carrying Case” is a bit misleading. Surely, the case is more rigid than a neoprene slip case, but the rigid material is still malleable. The corners are definitely tough. I doubt this case would protect against a heavy sharp blow; however, I’m confidant it will protect my computer well. The front pocket holds my power supply perfectly with room to spare. Inside, the pockets are really only capable of holding a notebook or other papers, not much else. Zippers are often a major area or criticism on laptop cases; the two on the case are smooth and large, which seem like they will be reliable for the life of the computer. I have a 13-inch MacBook Pro.
